Knebworth Country Show

Out in the open, stalls line up as crowds enter, the yearly Knebworth Country Show was on 13th & 14th August 2016.

Saturday was an early start with an overcast sky, but it didn’t dampen the spirit of the Morant Bay team as they looked forward to a successful first day. Surrounded by a variation of stalls inside a tent with the entrance and exit always in use it meant every stall holder was kept on their toes. A range of aromas; varying from cheeses to condiments didn’t knock out the powerful effect of Morant Bay Red Rum and its ability to draw crowds in.

Set in the beautiful grounds of Knebworth House this Family Country Steam & Crafts Fair is now in its 6th year. From Steam Engines & other Vintage Vehicles to the Suffolk Punch Heavy Horse Display Team, and children’s small animal petting pens, there really was something for everyone. The have-a-go Totally Terriers display team delighted all comers and the Knights of Honour battle re-enactments and medieval village were a special attraction.

Sunday was a continuation of Saturday with arts and crafts, gifts and food marquees bringing customers to the trade stands and rural demonstrators.

The Morant Bay Team, standing out from the crowd welcomed all to their stall. Throughout the day many happy visitors first sampled the smooth and exciting taste of the Signature Edition Spice Red Rum. Before purchasing their chosen bottle either 70cl, 50cl, 20cl or 5cl.

The show finished at 5pm and the gates were closed on another successful Country Show, roll on next year!
